LC Privacy Glass switches to frosted for privacy Engineer Steve Abadi originally proposed this glass in 1982. In 2003 he brought it to life through his company, Innovative Glass. LC Privacy Glass, its premiere eGlass product, instantly switches to a frosted state for privacy. A switch applies an electric current to a film inside the glass. This causes the crystal molecules to align, letting light pass through. When turned off, the glass is opaque providing complete privacy. INSIDER
